Since our founding in 1975 Faith Missionary Baptist Church has never owned it's own building. From 1975 to 1990 the church met in various locations including the Streamwood Park District building and various houses. In 1990 the church moved into a storefront at 34 West Streamwood Boulevard in Streamwood where it has held services for the last 35 years. Aside from simply not owning our own space, a lack of fellowship area, kitchen space, or Sunday School rooms has always been an issue. Over the 35 years of renting in Streamwood the church has looked at multiple properties but the Lord saw fit for us to keep meeting at 34 W. Streamwood Blvd.

Fast forward to January 2026, and the Faith Missionary Baptist Church has taken steps to purchase it's own building for the very first time. A small building on a main road in the nearby city of Elgin, the building has a smaller sanctuary space than the storefront, but has two kitchens, 3 large classrooms, and other fellowship spaces, seemingly meeting the long-held needs of the church.
